Turkey is one of the best holiday place in the world. It is the place united under Eastern and Western culture for thousands years. Cappadocia, is a region in central Turkey, largely in Nevşehir Province.
Cappadocia was a part of a powerful Hittite state from 3,500 to 1,200 BC. And humans first set foot in the region about 10,000 years ago.
Cappadocia is like entering a Lord of the Rings landscape. This out-of-this-world landscape impressed George Lucas so much that his original plan was to shoot some Star Wars’ episodes in this area.
Cappadocia has become a noticable region of Turkey with predominant importance of agriculture and tourism. UNESCO declared the area a World Heritage Site. The Turkey’s capital city,Ankara, is only 350km away. Fairy Chimneys were created as a result of wind and water erosion when small harder pieces of rock remained on top of larger and softer rock columns. Tours to Cappadocia are offered by almost all travel agencies in Turkey, although they are all too short allowing you just enough time for brief sightseeing.
You can visit the inside of one whilst on your holiday in Turkey. We wish you a nice and safe trip!
